Establishing Talent Development Centers in Key Industries

Fiscal Year 2016

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD) is proud to announce a Notice of Grant Opportunity (NGO) for Establishing Talent Development Centers in Key Industries for Fiscal Year 2016.

The purpose of this grant program is to further these efforts by establising three Talent Development Centers (TDC) at higher education institutions. Each designated TDC will serve as a "Center for Excellence" for training and skill development within a specific industry.

The primary mission of each TDC will be to provide training to individuals (dislocated workers and current employed/incumbent workers). As a result, the TDCs will be expected to coordinate their efforts with the state's industry-specific Talent Networks, established to facilitate the development of new partnerships between employers, educational institutions and workforce development programs in their specific industry.

Nonprofit post-secondary educational institutions in New Jersey are eligible to apply for this opportunity.

Take Notice that, in compliance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-34.4 et seq., the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (hereinafter "the Department" or "LWD") regularly publishes on its website at all notices of fund availability pertaining to federal or state grant funds, which may be awarded by the Department.
