Displaced Workers in the Atlantic City Region

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD) is proud to announce a Notice of Grant Opportunity (NGO) for its Opportunity4Jersey Training Grant for Displaced Workers in the Atlantic City Region for Fiscal Year 2015.
The training grant program is designed for eligible training providers to train casino affected displaced workers and other displaced workers who reside in the targeted counties in demand occupational skills, which connect to immediate or projected job openings with partnering employers. It is expected that the successful applicant will partner with employers and encourage them to interview a designated pool of candidates and select the candidate who will meet the employer's qualifications and requirements after the candidate successfully completes the training. The number of training slots listed in the applicant's proposal will be an indication and expectation of the number of job positions that are projected to be available within 60 days of the trainee's successful completion and will be filled based on the employer's immediate or projected hiring needs.
