The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD) is pleased to announce a training grant opportunity for fiscal year 2017. 


The purpose of the Opportunity Partnership Training Grant (OPG) program is to provide occupational training that will assist displaced workers obtain an industry-valued credential in areas that employers have identified as a job requirement before securing a job within their company. The state’s One Stop Career Center System must approve the displaced workers eligibility to receive this training.  


Only eligible training providers may apply:  

This multi-year competitive grant program is open to eligible training providers who are listed on the state’s Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) or who are in the process of applying. All training providers as well as their courses for this training, including training services subcontracted by the applicant to any third party training provider, receiving a recommendation for a grant award must be listed as “approved” on the state’s (ETPL) before the grant award is finalized and instruction begins.
