Everas Community Services is a rapidly growing non-profit organization with twenty-four residential/Group Home programs located throughout the state of New Jersey. The population we serve includes adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, as well as complex medical and behavioral health needs.  

Job Description: Residential Specialists assist adults who have developmental disabilities in a residential setting.  

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting individuals in daily life activities including community outings/recreation
  • Personal hygiene; showers, baths, oral care, hair and skin care
  • Assistance with toileting and changing of adult disposable briefs
  • Administering and supervising medication
  • Ambulation support and wheelchair transfers
  • Light cooking, meal preparation, and feeding
  • Daily household chores
  • Transporting the individuals to their activities, places of employment and appointments
  • Skill and behavioral development
  • Maintaining proper documentation
  • Companionship

Location: Group Home programs are located throughout the state of New Jersey.  

Training provided: Everas provides specialized, paid training for all employees to ensure that each team member has the tools needed to perform responsibilities. Employees must be able to complete training requirements within the specified time frames. 

Pay: Pay rate is $12.00 per hour (except the 9am-11pm Saturday & Sunday shift, which is $13.50 per hour).   This is an entry-level position. Insurance benefits and paid time off are available to full-time staff. 

Schedules are based on availability in programing:
Full Time, Part Time and Substitute Shifts available depending on location:  

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid NJ Driver's License in good standing
  • High School Diploma/GED/Equivalent
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong team player
